No, the display does not say that. If I try Trnasfer files first, it says connect USB cable, even though it may already be connected.
ok, could be an issue with the cable, i mean when i connect with the phone closed the lcd scrolls displaying “usb connected”… on the pc it displays o2 device found and asks for drivers…for syncing and music player however if you just want to transfer files open the phone select transfers files (option 3) and cancel the driver request on the pc, and now the pc sees the phone as mass storage device.
i cant get my phone to connect to my pc it says there is a power surge in hub port or usb device not recognized pls can some one help
the surge part sounds like a pc problem, i’ve never seen that with phone before, as for not recognized bit that normally happens when you don’t happen usb 2.0 are your usb ports usb 2.0?
yes my usb is 2.0 is happend on my mates laptop as well
i have now tried on another pc and the drivers don seem to go on any ideas
try installing the software first see if that solves anything, because the drivers should install with the software. then try connecting the phone, open the flap you should have prompt menu. if you just want to transfer files, pick transfer files on the prompt, the phone should be seen as mass storage device.

This is exactly what mine is doing! Also when the pc finally does recognise the device it still won’t transfer the music. I drag and drop the music to the music pane and when i go to hit sync button my phone isn’t shown as connected. I have changed 1 cocoon already and i’m sure there is no prob with my pc? I bought the handset for my son’s birthday so it is really frustrating! Help
When I try connecting via Bluetooth it says the device is in non-pairable mode. When I try connecting via USB cable, it says PC Suite Connected on the phone, but says not connected on the PC end. I try and click connect on PC Suite and literally nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

when connected does lcd display say connected? if yes open the phone and select transfer files for the phone to be picked up as a usb storage device…from there it’s simply drag and drop. when disconnecting make sure you safely remove the device to avoid the memory error.
