I Love it but it’s driving me crazy
Written by Sorrell
I’ve had my cocoon for about 4 days now and I love it - I really do. So far………
I’ve managed to move music to it, change ring tones, brightness & all the other fiddly things that are hidden in menu options within menus, despite the book that comes with it being about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.
The pdf on the cd is more helpful but it still doesn’t contain what I’m looking for!
Can somebody please tell me how to turn the open & close sounds on?????
I can see and play the files that are meant to be the open and close sound but the only option available to me is to set them as my ring tone - which is definitely not what I want to do with them.
The phone itself looks beautful - the clamshell is smooth and so far appears to be durable. I LOVE the retro buttons inside - think they’re excellent and very reminiscent of the Bang & Olufsen Samsung special phone that came out a couple of years ago (though obviously not in a circle).
The external speaker could be louder but i do like the souround sound options etc.
My only concern are the fiddly menus - they drive me up the wall. Just when you get used to the top right button meaning ‘back’, it changes to ‘delete’ or ‘cancel’ and you have to start all over again.
I’ll get used to them though - that’s for sure. I mean they are kind of logically set out & it’s not rocket science, it’s just getting used to it. I just need somebody - ANYBODY to tell me how to turn the flip open & close noises on. It’s not in settings, it’s not in profiles, it’s not in music and it’s not in any of their sub menues that I can find………… where else is there?
Thanks in advance,
an otherwise satisfied customer…………..

A: the clam open and close sound is tied to the keypad volume.
By default it is off and hence you do not get a sound when you open and close the device.
