Hi Guys,
Wanted to drop you a line to ask about the Mac-connectivity of the O2 Cocoon. I bought one today at the Bristol O2 store, with the assurance that the device was fully compatible with a Mac computer. I have tried to send mp3 files from my Mac to my Cocoon with no success. The devices appear to recognize each other but that is as far as it goes… I cannot send a single file to my Cocoon from my Mac, and honestly, I’m beginning to feel a bit ripped off. Especially as I have also attempted to install support software for the phone as well, and I still can’t send any files. Do you have any suggestions? I would not treat any practical advice you have to offer as an endorsement from yourselves for anything, but much as I try, I’m only drawing blanks. Please help!!

I have had problems connecting to a PC. PC just says that there is an error with the USB device. Anyone else had this?
Thanks very much for your review Stephanie, a really great post.
You make some great comparisons:
“the back of the handset sports an LCD status/display area that lights up through the phone itself—kind of like a Japanese rice-paper Ikea lamp.” I never really thought of it like that, but spot on!
However, my opinions on the manual differ. Quite a few bloggers have mentioned the lack of a decent manual… If there was one, would you use it? Granted my parents wouldn’t know the first thing about how to use it but I think putting it on a cd is the perfect answer?
I’m also not too convinced by the ear phones dual-adapter. I think its a really nice touch, but would anyone actually use it? Seems like a lot of plugging and unplugging to me…
Thanks again Stephanie!!

This great video by Matt and Tracey shows them unboxing the Cocoon.
In the video they run through what comes in the box and explain ‘what goes where’. Thanks very much Matt and Tracey, it was a very enjoyable watch.
Here is the unboxing video and you can view the blog here.

Thanks to Faris for his blog, in which he gives some opinions on the handset and the blog.
When Faris took his Cocoon to The O2, to see prince, his phone ‘came to life.’ A picture of The O2 was displayed as the wallpaper and the soft keys changed; allowing him to access maps.
Thanks again Faris!
